Florida hunting, Florida fishing, Florida diving, Florida kayaking, swimming, Florida camping, biking, Florida snorkeling and Florida horseback riding are just some of the activities Floridians and state visitors can find in the state parks. The state park system includes more than 700,000 acres of land, 100 miles of which are some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Check here for information about Florida state forests. Florida also is a great place to go fossil hunting. Many of the state parks offer primitive and RV camping, but some also provide overnight lodging. The Lodge at Wakulla Springs is the only lodge available in a state park, but 11 parks have cabins for overnight rental. Two state parks – Grayton Beach and Silver River State Park – have two-bedroom cottages and cabins available. Check here for information on Florida state park entrance fees. And don’t forget to check out the other sections on this web site for more specialized information on Florida fishing, Florida hunting, Florida diving, Florida kayaking, Florida camping, Florida hiking and Florida birding. We also have a special section under our Adventures tab just for kids!
